The much-awaited 2023 Honda City facelift is all set to go on sale in our market tomorrow. Honda has started dispatching the new City to dealerships for customer previews and test drives. A video of the top-spec variant of the new City has surfaced on the internet, which reveals the top changes on offer.

The 2023 Honda City facelift comes with a new Obsidian Blue paint scheme, which was not offered in the outgoing model. The sedan looks largely identical to the existing model, except for the mildly tweaked front & rear bumpers with sportier design elements. It comes with a slightly revised front grille, which gets a honeycomb design. The sedan retains the all-new LED headlamps and tail-lamps.

The City facelift now comes with newly styled 16-inch alloy wheels. The interior of the 2023 Honda City remains unchanged, featuring the same black and beige scheme with faux wood inserts. This time around, the new City petrol version also get Honda Sensing – the ADAS tech. The advanced driver assistance system was earlier offered only to the hybrid version.

The 2023 Honda City will also get a new base-spec SV variant, which joins the V, VX and ZX variants. The new entry-level variant will only be offered with a manual gearbox and will devoid of many comfort and convenience features. Similarly, the City Hybrid will also receive a new lower-spec VX variant.

The updated City sedan will continue to be offered with the 1.5L 4-cylinder naturally-aspirated petrol and a 1.5L Atkinson cycle engine with strong hybrid tech. Both powertrains are upgraded to meet the BSVI stage-II emission norms. While the former is good for 121bhp and 144Nm, the hybrid powertrain offers a combined power output of 126bhp with an e-CVT. The regular petrol version will be offered with manual and CVT automatic. Honda has also discontinued the 1.5L turbo diesel engine from the City line-up. The petrol engines have also been upgraded to comply with E20 fuel.
