Mahindra XUV700 Pickup Truck With Off-Road Capabilities – Rendered

Mahindra XUV700 Getaway Pickup

Mahindra XUV700 is surely one of the important SUV launches of this year. The SUV model lineup has been offered in multiple variants spread across two trims – MX and AX, which are currently priced between Rs 12.49 lakh – Rs 22.99 lakh (all, ex-showroom). While we have already seen the XUV700 in the flesh light, a latest digital rendering imagined it as a pickup truck. The rendering has been done by NStreet Designs.

Called the Mahindra XUV700 Getaway, the pickup truck features C-shaped DRLs, a large skid plate and a beefier off-roading bumper giving it an aggressive look. The thicker plastic cladding on the side profile and pronounced fenders add more to its sporty appearance. Its roof and floor, which are extended up to the B-pillar, create a twin-cabin structure. The Getaway has a roof rock with LED light bar for better visibility during off-roading in low-light conditions.

At the back, the Mahindra XUV700 pickup truck sports LED taillamps, side steps and the big signature logo and a 4X4 badge. The model carries two large spare off-roading tyres in the bed area. The XUV700 Getaway sits on the same ladder-frame chassis, but has longer wheelbase and wider track width than the original model. Read – Mahindra XUV700 To Get A New, More Affordable Top Variant

In order to enhance its off-road capabilities, the model has been equipped with a new lifted suspension, a limited slip rear differential, 4X4 drivetrain system and large off-road tyres. However, it has smaller multi-spoke wheels than the standard model. The customized blue highlights on the rim edge further differentiate the pickup truck from the XUV700 SUV.

For power, the Mahindra XUV700 pickup truck uses the same 2.2L diesel engine with an automatic gearbox. Though, the motor has been tuned for generating power worth 200bhp instead of 155bhp (MX) and 185bhp (AX). In fact, it delivers a peak torque of 450Nm.
