Mahindra XUV700 New Variant Launch Soon; Cheaper Than Top-End AX7 Trim

Mahindra XUV700 Bookings

Mahindra & Mahindra will soon expand the XUV700 SUV model lineup with the addition of the new AX7 Smart variant. The new variant will be more affordable than the top-end AX7 trim, but it will miss out on some important features including the ADAS (advanced driver assistance system). It will also be devoid of hill hold assist, hill descent control, driver detection steering, a wireless phone charger, electronic stability program, electronic parking brake, electric door handles with passive keyless entry, drive modes and knee airbag.

The feature list of the new Mahindra XUV700 AX7 Smart pack will include auto booster headlamps, all LED lighting system, 18-inch diamond cut alloy wheels, electrically adjustable ORVMs, smart door handles, a panoramic sunroof, cruise control, 6 airbags, ABS with EBD, Isofix seat mounts, cornering lamps, a 360 degree camera, a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay connectivity and a 10.25-inch digital instrument console.

Mahindra XUV700 Deliveries

As mentioned above, the XUV700 AX7 Smart variant will not have ADAS on offer that requires lots of semiconductor chips. Since there is a global shortage of the semiconductors, it will help the company bring down waiting period of the range-topping AX7 trim. At present, it commands a waiting period of up to 8-10 months. Interestingly, customers who have already made their bookings for the XUV700 can switch to the new AX7 Smart variant. The fully-loaded AX7 trim comes with 7-seats configuration only. Read – 2022 Mahindra Scorpio To Offer Off-Road Drive Modes
