We informed you earlier that Mahindra is working on a new special edition of the XUV700 for Olympic Gold-Medalist – Neeraj Chopra. The company has also registered two names – Mahindra Javelin and Javelin By Mahindra. New details about the new Mahindra XUV700 Javelin Edition has been out in the public.
– The new model will come with a unique personalised treatment that spurs up the looks of the standard model. The SUV comes with gold treatment for the vertical struts on the grille and the Mahindra badge placed on the front grille.
– The other noticeable upgrade is the new ochre shade soft-touch material on the dashboard. The dashboard also has Javelin throw emblem, golden stitching along with 87.58 motif.
– The company is reportedly opted for the Midnight Blue paint scheme for the new XUV700 Javelin, which will further highlights the golden highlights.
– Expect the golden treatment around the ORVMs, door handles, and on rear badging to further highlights the special treatment.
– Expect golden treatment around the interior door panels and on other parts of the cabin. The SUV will retain most of the features available in the standard model.
– The XUV700 Javelin special edition is likely to be offered with a 2.2-litre turbocharged diesel engine, which is capable of producing 185bhp and 420Nm of torque. Transmission choices will include a 6-speed manual and a 6-speed torque convertor automatic.
Mahindra has launched the new XUV700 at a starting price of Rs 11.99 lakh, which goes up to Rs 19.79 lakh for the top-spec model. Official bookings for the SUV will commence on October 7, 2021. Test drivers for the new XUV700 in Phase 1 will commence from 2nd of October, while the Phase II drives will commence from October 7, 2021. Mahindra will announce the start of delivery date on October 10, 2021.
