Mahindra XUV700 Javelin Edition For Olympic Champions: Spied

Mahindra has recently announced to present new XUV700 Javelin Editions for the Olympic winners. The company will produce two Mahindra XUV700 Javelin Editions; one for Neeraj Chopra gold medalist at 2020 Tokyo Olympics and the second for Paralympian Sumit Antil. The two Gold Editions have been snapped ahead of possible introduction in next few days.

The new Mahindra XUV700 Javelin Edition comes with a gold painted front grille with multiple vertical slats, new Mahindra badge in gold finish and gold accents on the ORVMs, door handles and rear badging. The SUV is finished in Midnight Blue exterior paint scheme.

The interior has also received some changes. The cabin’s sport soft touch material on the dashboard with a Javelin emblem and gold treatment on door panels and on leather seats. Apart from these features, the XUV700 Javelin Edition will be offered with the same features and design as the standard model.

The Neeraj Chopra’s Mahindra XUV700 Javelin edition has 87.58 motif on the inside as well as on the outside. The motif is placed at the rear. Similarly, the 68.55 emblem is added to Sumit Antil’s XUV700 Javelin Edition.

The new Mahindra XUV700 Javelin special edition is likely to be offered with a 2.2-litre turbocharged diesel engine, which is capable of producing 185bhp and 420Nm of torque. Transmission choices will include a 6-speed manual and a 6-speed torque convertor automatic.

The SUV is available with two engine options – a 2.0L 4-cylinder, mStallion turbocharged petrol and a 2.2L 4-cylinder mHawk turbocharged diesel. The petrol engine is capable of producing 200bhp and 380Nm of torque. The diesel engine offers two states of tunes – 155bhp/360Nm with MX version and 185bhp/420Nm (450Nm with AT) with AdrenoX AX trim. Transmission choices include a 6-speed manual and a 6-speed torque convertor automatic.
