Mahindra XUV700 Interior Spied – Key Things We Noticed

The much-awaited Mahindra XUV700 has been spotted numerous times on the Indian roads. The SUV is scheduled to be launched in the second half of 2021, most probably by October. The launch has been delayed multiple times due to COVID-19 pandemic and global shortage of semi-conductor chips. The XUV700 has spied again and this time, it shows the interior.

– The new video reveals that the Mahindra XUV700 will get a new infotainment display with a new software. This infotainment unit will also be offered on the next-gen Scorpio, which will be launched in early next year. However, the XUV700 will get a larger display.

– The video shows that the SUV is in parking mode. The driver and co-driver are enjoying a cup of tea and watching a movie on the infotainment system.

– The new Mahindra XUV700 also gets a fully digital instrument console, which shows host of useful information. The SUV gets Mercedes-like dual-screen setup, which dominates the dashboard.

– The SUV also gets multi-functional steering wheel with silver treatment. The previous spy images also reveals that the cabin of the SUV gets chrome treatment around the AC vents and a dual-tone interior scheme.

– The AC vents are placed below the infotainment screen, while the switchgears for dual-zone climate control and other functions are placed lower on the central console. The start-stop button is placed next to the central AC vents.

– The new XUV700 will come equipped with power adjustable front seats. It is likely to get 8-way adjustable driver’s seat, while the 6-way adjustable seat is expected to be offered for the co-occupant. The buttons are placed on the door trim. The driver seat is also likely to get a memory function.

– The higher-end variants will receive leather-wrapped dashboard. The SUV will also get leather seats for the top-end variant, and leather finished gear knob, armrest & steering wheel. It will also get a factory-fitted panoramic sunroof.

– The new Mahindra XUV700 will also receive ADAS ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems). Mahindra had joined hands with South Korean Mando company to source ADAS. The SUV will receive, Autonomous Emergency Braking, Adaptive Cruise Control, Front Collision Warning, Lane Departure Warning and Park Assist.

– It will be offered with two engine options – a 2.2-litre 4-cylinder turbocharged diesel and a 2.0-litre turbocharged petrol. While the former can produce around 185bhp of power, the turbocharged petrol engine is likely to offer around 190bhp and 350Nm of torque. Transmission choices will include a 6-speed manual and a 6-speed torque convertor automatic.
