The home-grown automaker has added two new AX7 7-seater diesel variants to its new Mahindra XUV700 SUV model lineup. While the new AX7 Luxury manual diesel model has been priced at Rs 19.99 lakh, the AX7 Luxury automatic, AWD diesel variant costs Rs 22.89 lakh. There are four more 7-seater variants – AX7 petrol MT, AX7 petrol AT, AX7 diesel MT and AX7 AT – priced at Rs 17.59 lakh, Rs 19.19 lakh, Rs 18.19 lakh and Rs 19.79 lakh respectively. All aforementioned prices are ex-showroom.
One must note that all the prices will be applicable for the first 25000 bookings. The company will start accepting pre-orders from October 7, 10am onwards. Deliveries of the petrol variants will precede deliveries of the diesel variants. An official announcement regarding the date for start of deliveries will be made by 10th October.
The new optional Luxury pack offers a bunch of additional features over the standard AX7 trim including immersive 3D sound by Sony, electrically deployed smart door handles, 360 degree surround view, blind view monitoring, electronic park brake, driver knee airbag, passive keyless entry, continuous digital video recording and wireless charging.
Mahindra has also introduced the industry-first ‘Add to cart’ functionality on its official website for the new XUV700 SUV. It enables customers to save variant configurations, including fuel type, seating capacity, colour and dealer preference ahead of the booking commencement. Engine setup of the Mahindra XUV700 includes a 2.0L, 4-cylinder mStallion turbo petrol and a 2.2L, 4-cylinder mHawk turbo diesel. While the gasoline unit is good enough for 200bhp and 380Nm, the oil burner delivers 155bhp with 360Nm and 185bhp with 420Nm (MT)//450Nm (AT). The SUV can be had with either a 6-speed manual or a 6-speed torque convertor automatic gearbox. The diesel models are exclusively offered with 4 driving modes – Zip, Zap, Zoom and Custom.
