Mahindra & Mahindra has dropped yet another teaser of the upcoming XUV400 electric SUV that’s slated to go on sale on 8th September 2022. The latest teaser shows the vehicle in Electric Blue colour scheme featuring a closed-off grille with the brand’s new logo at the front, LED headlamps and DRLs, silver roof rails and side body cladding. You can also notice the side mounted charging port. The Mahindra XUV400 will measure around 4.2 meters in length, thus making it longer than the ICE-powered XUV300. That means, the electric SUV will also have more cabin space and boot area to offer.
While official details of the XUV400 will be revealed in a couple of days, the model is likely to be offered with the ADAS (advanced driver assistance system) suite. Similar to Mahindra’s new breed cars, the electric SUV will have a touchscreen infotainment system with Adreno X connected car AI technology. Most of its features will be carried over the XUV300.

Mahindra XUV400 range is likely to be around 400km on a single charge. Reports suggest that the model will use NMC cells that will be better than the Tata Nexon EV’s cylindrical LFP cells. Prices of the Mahindra electric SUV are expected to start from Rs 18 lakh for the base model and go up to Rs 20 lakh for the range-topping variant. If launched in this price range, it will take directly on the Tata Nexon EV Max. The latter one is currently available within the price range of Rs 18.34 lakh – Rs 20.04 lakh (all, ex-showroom). However, the Mahindra XUV400 will be longer than its arch rival – the Tata Nexon EV Max.
