Mahindra XUV300 Electric SUV Production Model Rendered

Mahindra & Mahindra unveiled the XUV300 electric SUV in its concept avatar at this year’s Auto Expo in February. While the production-ready version of the electric subcompact SUV is slated to arrive early next year, a latest digital rendering previews a possible design. The rendered model features a closed-off front grille with a chrome strip at the top as we have seen in the concept. Though, the LED headlamp units and fog lamp assembly have different design pattern. Check Out – 2021 Mahindra XUV500 Interior Revealed In New Pictures

The radiator grille placed below the front bumper gives it an aggressive look. Similar to the concept, the production model has blue highlights around headlamps, alloy wheels and below the fog lamps. The Mahindra XUV300 electric will be one of the brand’s first models based on the MESMA (Mahindra Electric Scalable and Modular Architecture) platform. The carmaker says that the new modular architecture is compatible to multiple motor configurations and battery sizes (right from 21kWh to 34kWh) that translates to an effective range between 240km to over 390km on a full charge.

The Mahindra XUV300 electric SUV will be made available with two battery options – 40kWh (standard) and 60kWh (long-range). While the former will offer a range over 370km, the latter will promise a range over 450km. That said, Mahindra’s electric subcompact SUV will provide more electric range than its arch rival – Tata Nexon EV. Just so you know, the Nexon EV comes with Tata’s Ziptron electric powertrain that includes a 129PS permanent magnet AC motor and a liquid-cooled 30.2kWh lithium-ion battery system.

Talking about its interior, the Mahindra eXUV300 will look slightly different from inside as well. The electric compact SUV will have a newly-designed dashboard with a larger pop-out style touchscreen infotainment system. The new seat upholstery with blue highlights will further mark distinction to its portfolio. It might also be offered with an updated driver selector and wireless charging features.
