Mahindra had launched the new generation Scorpio N in the country in June 2022. The SUV is available in 5 trim levels – Z2, Z4, Z6, Z8 and Z8L. The company has now introduced 5 new entry-level variants in the Z2 and Z4 line-up.

The Scorpio N petrol range is available in 11 variants spread across Z2, Z4, Z8 and Z8L trim levels. The base petrol variant is priced at Rs 11.99 lakh, while the top-spec variant costs Rs 21.15 lakh (ex-showroom). The new Scorpio N diesel range is available in 19 variants – priced between Rs 12.49 lakh and Rs 23.90 Lakh.
The Mahindra Scorpio N is one of the safest cars of India with 5-star safety rating in the updated global NCAP crash tests. The company has now added more safety features in the Z2 and Z4 manual trims. The new variants now come with electronic stability programme (ESP), hill hold assist, and hill descent control as an option. These new 5 variants are available with ‘E’ suffix and are available at a premium of Rs 50,000 over the standard variants.
The new Mahindra Scorpio N Z4 petrol and diesel automatic variants and other higher trims are already offered with ESP, hill hold and hill descent control as standard. As standard, the SUV comes fitted with safety features like dual front airbags, anti-lock braking system (ABS) with electronic brake force distribution, rear parking sensors, all-wheel disc brakes, and ISOFIX anchorages.
The range-topping variants are fitted with six airbags, tyre pressure monitoring system (TPMS), front & rear parking sensors and reverse camera. In terms of features, the Scorpio N comes with a single pane electric sunroof, dual-zone climate control, an 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system with wireless Android Auto & Apple CarPlay, a 12-speaker Sony sound system and electrically adjustable driver’s seat.
The new Scorpio N is available with two engine options – a 2.2-litre turbo-diesel and a 2.0-litre turbo petrol. While the petrol engine pushes out 200bhp & 370Nm (MT)/ 380Nm (AT) of torque, the diesel engine offers 130bhp and 300Nm on lower variants and 175bhp with 370Nm (MT)/ 400Nm (AT) on higher variants. While the rear wheel drive layout comes as standard, 4×4 drivetrain is offered with select diesel variants. Transmission choices include a 6-speed manual and a 6-speed torque convertor automatic.
