Mercedes-Benz has recently announced to assemble the AMG-range of performance cars in India. The first locally-assembled Mercedes-AMG car in our market will be the AMG GLC 43 Coupe, which is scheduled to be launched on November 3, 2020.

The company will launch the facelifted model, which was introduced in the global markets last year. Thanks to the local assembly, the new AMG GLC is expected to cost somewhere Rs 80 lakh. As a CBU unit, it would have cost around Rs 1 crore.

Powering the Mercedes AMG GLC 43 Coupe is a 3.0-litre V6 bi-turbo engine that is capable of producing 385bhp of power and an impressive torque of 520Nm between 2,500rpm and 4,500rpm. Compared to the previous model, the updated engine produces around 23bhp higher power. Power is transmitted to the wheels via AMG Speedshift TCT 9G transmission.
