Toyota Kirloskar Motor (TKM) has rolled out the Urban Cruiser Hyryder CNG variants in the country. It has been made available in the mid-spec S and G trims, which are priced at Rs 13.23 lakh – Rs 15.29 lakh respectively. The Toyota Hyryder CNG variants around Rs 95,000 more expensive than the regular 1.5L strong hybrid S and G models that cost Rs 15.11 lakh and Rs 17.49 lakh respectively. One must note that the aforementioned prices are ex-showroom.

Similar to the Grand Vitara CNG, the new Toyota Hyryder CNG comes with a 1.5L K15 engine that delivers a peak power of 88bhp and 121.5Nm of torque in CNG mode. Compared to its petrol version, it’s around 13bhp less powerful and 14.5Nm less torqueier. The regular gasoline unit with the mild hybrid version returns a claimed power of 103bhp and 136Nm of torque. The SUV’s CNG variants have been made available with a 5-speed manual gearbox only. The Hyryder CNG promises a fuel efficiency of 26.6km/kg.
No changes have been made to its design and features. The Toyota Hyryder CNG S trim offers a 7-inch digital instrument cluster, a 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity, Alexa and Google assistance, 4-speaker audio system, connected car tech, cruise control, steering mounted controls, paddle shifters and reverse parking camera. Features such as a 9-inch touchscreen infotainment system with the latest smartphone connectivity, 6-speaker Arkamys sound system, ambient interior lighting, auto folding outside wing mirrors, Head-up Display, a panoramic sunroof, wireless charging, side and curtain airbags (total 6 airbags), electronic stability programe (ESP), ABS (anti-lock braking system) with EBD (electronic brakeforce distribution), rear wiper and wash, chrome window line garnish, 17-inch alloy wheels and full-LED headlamps come with the G trim.
