Jaguar Land Rover has introduced the new two-door Defender 90 at a starting price of Rs 76.57 lakh (ex-showroom). The carmaker says that it’s the “toughest and most capable Land Rover ever made and provides new age connectivity with unstoppable off-road performance”.
Variants, Accessories
– The 2021 Land Rover Defender 90 has been offered in three models including Defender, X-Dynamic and Defender X. The Defender and X-Dynamic are available with S, SE and HSE Specification Packs. The company is also offering four accessory packages, namely, Explorer, Adventure, Country and Urban.
Engine Options
– The new Defender 90 comes with three engine options – 2.0L petrol, 3.0L petrol and 3.0L diesel. While the smaller capacity gasoline unit makes a power of 296bhp and 400Nm of torque, the 3.0L petrol delivers power worth 394bhp against 650Nm of torque. The oil burner pushes out a top power of 296bhp and 650Nm of torque.
Off-Road Features
– The SUV has been equipped with the configurable Terrain Response system that enables driver to fine-tune its setup as per the off-road conditions.
– The Terrain Response 2 system has a new Wade programme that optimizes the vehicle’s systems while driving through water.
Interior
– The new Defender 90 offers enough cabin space for six adult occupants, thanks to its innovative front central jump seat.
– The carmaker equips the SUV with its new-generation Pivi infotainment system that’s claimed to have intuitive interface and its own back-up battery. It also gets advanced software over-the-air updates.
