KTM Duke 125 Based Husqvarna Svartpilen 125 Launched In Europe

Husqvarna Motorcycles, owned by Bajaj Auto has launched the all-new Svartpilen 125 in Europe. The entry-level Husqvarna Svartpilen 125 costs HUF 1.64 million (approx INR 4 lakh) in Hungary. The motorcycle is manufactured at the Bajaj plant in Pune. It is introduced as a CBU unit.

The Husqvarna Svartpilen is basically a naked scrambler. The motorcycle shares its mechanicals with the KTM Duke 125. It is powered by a 124.7cc single-cylinder liquid-cooled DOHC engine that produces 15bhp at 9,500rpm and a peak torque of 12Nm at 7,500rpm. It is claimed to offer a top speed of around 100kmph. It is coupled to a 6-speed gearbox.

Husqvarna Svartpilen 125 Price

Based on the Trellis frame, the new Husqvarna Svartpilen 125 features 43mm WP Apex USD (Upside-Down) front forks and a 5-step preload adjustable WP Apex mono-shock at the rear. The motorcycle gets a 320mm disc with a 4-piston caliper upfront and 230mm disc at the rear with a 2-piston caliper. Bosch-sourced dual-channel ABS is offered as standard.

The Husqvarna Svartpilen 125 rides on 17-inch front and rear spoked wheels fitted with Pirelli tyres. The motorcycle weighs 146kgs without fuel. It has a fuel tank capacity of 9.5-litres. The motorcycle comes with LED headlamp and tail-lamp. The motorcycle looks exactly similar to the bigger siblings.

Seeing the rising demand for KTM Duke 125, Bajaj Auto and Husqvarna will aim to launch the Svartpilen 125 in the Indian market. It is expected to be priced lesser than the Duke 125, which is available at Rs 1.51 lakh.
