Kia India is ready to expand its top-selling Seltos SUV model lineup with a new sportier variant called – Kia Seltos X-Line. The model made its first public appearance in its concept avatar at the last year’s Auto Expo. Its production-ready version is scheduled to hit roads next month (September 2021). Ahead of its official launch, details of the SUV’s new variant have been emerged on the web. As per the leaked document, the Seltos X-Line will come with 14 new features including a new Xclusive matte Graphite colour scheme.
Visually, the Kia Seltos X-Line appears sportier than the standard model. Upfront, the new variant carries matte graphite radiator grille with Xclusive piano black outline. What add more to its revised front fascia are gloss black trim on the front bumper, Xclusive piano black front skid plate with Sun Orange accents and Ice Cube LED fog lamps with Xclusive piano black accent.
While the standard Seltos is available with 16 and 17-inch alloy wheels options, the X-Line will be equipped with 18-inch crystal-cut matte graphite alloy wheels. Features such as Sun Orange accents on the fog lamp housings, side body claddings and alloy wheels and piano black finishes on the shark fin antenna and dual exhaust tailpipe and tailgate further enhance its sportier looks. Interior will also get sporty treatment with the Indigo Pera leatherette seats with honeycomb pattern and grey stitching. The upcoming Kia Seltos X-Line will be based on the standard top-end GT Line trim. Therefore, it will offer all the features available on the regular range-topping variant.
The list will include a 10.25-inch HD touchscreen infotainment system, a 7.0-inch multi info display, UVO connectivity features, air purifier, wireless charging, Bose 8-speaker audio system, 8 way power adjustable driver’s seat, vehicle stability management, ESC, tyre pressure monitoring system, hill start assist, 6 airbags, brake assist, front parking sensors, road grip control and many more.
The new Kia Seltos X-Line will be powered by the 1.4L GDI turbo petrol and 1.5L CRDi diesel engines, which are good enough for 138bhp and 242Nm and 114bhp with 250Nm. While the former will get a 7-speed DCT automatic gearbox, the latter will be paired to a 6-speed torque converter automatic transmission.
