Kia Motors has officially launched the new Seltos Nightfall edition in the USA. The new special edition is available at a price tag of USD 27,865 (approx INR 20.3 lakh). This price also includes USD 1,175 overhead cost of handling, destination and dealer charges.
The Kia Seltos Nightfall edition comes with subtle design changes and new features. It replaces the S AWD variant, positioned below the top-spec SX AWD (All-Wheel-Drive) variant. In terms of exterior changes, the new Seltos Nightfall comes with dark theme. It features blacked-out radiator grille, blacked-out side sills and black roof-rails. Adding to it, the SUV rides on new blacked-out 18-inch alloy wheels.
The new Nightfall Edition is equipped with high-end safety features such as automatic emergency braking, forward collision avoidance assists with pedestrian detection, rear blind-spot collision avoidance assist, lane-keeping assist and others. These features are now available as standard across the 2021 Seltos range.
The company has also upgraded the regular Seltos for the American market. The upgraded model comes with an adjustable steering wheel, ventilated leather seats, power windows and climate control as standard. On the other hand, the NightFall Edition has all-black interior scheme instead of the dual-tone scheme in the regular variant. The SUV gets a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system with UVO connected car technology. It also features new Kia badge on the front grille and tailgate.
2021 Kia Seltos Specifications
The 2021 Kia Seltos comes equipped with two engine options – a 2.0-litre naturally-aspirated petrol and a 1.6-litre turbocharged petrol. While the former is good for 146bhp of power and 179Nm of torque, the latter produces 175bhp and 264Nm of torque. The 2.0L engine is paired to a CVT automatic gearbox, while the 1.6L engine is offered with a 7-speed DCT automatic gearbox. The NightFall Edition is available with the 1.6L petrol and DCT gearbox.
Kia Seltos India
The India-spec Kia Seltos is available with 3 engine options – a 113bhp, 1.5-litre naturally-aspirated petrol, a 113bhp, 1.5-litre turbocharged diesel and a 138bhp, 1.4-litre turbocharged petrol.
Transmission choices includes a 6-speed manual, a 6-speed torque convertor automatic (1.5L Diesel), a CVT (1.5L Petrol), a 7-speed DCT (1.4L Petrol) and a 6-speed iMT (1.5L Petrol).
