Kia Seltos Gets 2 New Variants – Prices, Features Explained

The updated Kia Seltos model lineup has expanded with the introduction of two new variants – GTX+ (S) and X-Line (S). The GTX+ (S) is priced at Rs 19.39 lakh, while the X-Line (S) is priced at Rs 19.59 lakh (all prices are ex-showroom). Both variants are positioned below the GTX+ and X-Line variants in the model range. In terms of features, the new Seltos GTX+ (S) and X-Line (S) variants do not include the Bose sound system and 360-degree camera. Instead, they offer a regular reverse camera and a 6-speaker audio system, along with ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance System), an electronic parking brake, dual infotainment displays, and 18-inch diamond-cut alloy wheels. Customers also have the option to choose an all-black roof lining for an additional Rs 20,000.

These new variants are available with two engine options: the 1.5L turbo petrol producing 160bhp and 253Nm, and the 1.5L diesel engine generating 115bhp and 144Nm. The petrol unit is paired with a 7-speed DCT gearbox, while the diesel variant comes with a 6-speed torque converter automatic transmission. Kia India has indicated that the new GTX+ (S) and X-Line (S) variants will have a waiting period of approximately two months. Currently, the new Kia Seltos has a waiting period of four months.

Kia Seltos facelift Price

Following the Seltos update, Kia plans to refresh the Sonet subcompact SUV and the Carens MPV. A new generation of the Kia Carnival is also in the pipeline, with all three models expected to arrive in 2024. Similar to the new Kia Seltos, the upcoming Sonet facelift may offer the ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance System) with 7-8 features, instead of the current 17 autonomous features. It could also feature a newly-designed dashboard, a dashcam, and a 360-degree camera. The engine lineup is likely to be carried over from the current model.

Additionally, Kia India has plans to introduce a locally-developed electric MPV before the end of the fiscal year 2025. This mass-market electric vehicle is currently in the testing phase in Korea and is expected to offer a range of around 400-500km on a full charge.
