Kia has introduced its refreshed RDE compliant vehicle line-up with updated powertrain and additional features in the Seltos, the Sonet and the Carens. The updated Kia line-up comes with enhanced petrol powertrain which is now compatible to the E20 fuel. The 2023 Kia Carens MPV now comes with a new Smartstream G1.5 T-GDi turbo petrol engine.
The new 1.5L turbo petrol engine replaces the Smartstream G1.4 T-GDi engine. The new powertrain is capable of producing 160PS of power and 253Nm of torque between 1500 to 3500 rpm. While the Sonet’s petrol engine remains unchanged, the 1.5L CRDi WGT diesel engine has been replaced by the 1.5L CRDi VGT engine with enhanced power output of 116PS from the earlier 100PS. The same powertrain in Seltos and Carens now offers 116PS of power from the earlier 115 PS.
2023 Kia Sonet prices
The 6-speed iMT (Intelligent Manual Transmission) is now available as standard in the diesel and the petrol turbo variants of all Kia India models. The manual gearbox option is now available in Smartstream 1.5L naturally-aspirated petrol engine of the Seltos and Sonet, and 1.2L naturally aspirated petrol engine of the Sonet.
2023 Kia Seltos Prices
Kia India has also introduced the ISG (Idle Stop Go) feature as standard across the models. The Kia Connect Skill for Amazon Alexa has been added as a connected car feature. The company has introduced home to car connectivity feature for its customers.
The Alexa device can be connected to customers’ vehicle by registering on Amazon Alexa application. The customers can access the ‘Kia Connect’ in the ‘Skills and Games’ section in the app and link their Kia Connect account using their log-in credentials. The feature is also available for the EV6 customers.
2023 Kia Carens Price Range
The 2023 Kia Sonet line-up is available in the price bracket of Rs 7.79 lakh to Rs 14.89 lakh. On the other hand, the Seltos range is priced between Rs 10.89 lakh and Rs 19.65 lakh. The Kia Carens is available at a starting price of Rs 10.45 lakh and goes up to Rs 18.90 lakh.
