Honda two-wheeler India is reportedly working on a brand new adventure motorcycle for our market. It is likely to be based on the CB300F streetfighter and it could be named the Honda CB300X.
Honda had introduced the CB200X in 2022. It is basically an ADV-style motorcycle based on the Hornet 2.0. However, the ADV only has ADV-like styling as it misses out on long-travel suspension, bigger front wheel and lacks ground clearance. It is early to comment whether Honda will follow the same strategy with the new 300cc ADV. We hope Honda will make significant updates to make it more suitable for tough terrains.
The Honda CB300F is powered by a 293cc, air-oil-cooled, single-cylinder engine that produces 24.47PS and 25.6Nm of torque. It is available at a price tag of Rs 2.26 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi). The new motorcycle is likely to feature the same powertrain; however, it will cost slightly higher than the naked sibling.
The new motorcycle is likely to feature a big fairing with a revised seating position. It will have an upright seating position, USD front forks, rear monoshock, disc brakes at both ends, etc. We expect the new 300cc motorcycle to have longer travel suspension, larger front wheel and wire-spoke rims. The new motorcycle is likely to be positioned between the Suzuki V-Strom SX and the KTM 390 Adventure.
