Kia India has achieved its best-ever monthly sales, registering a YOY sales growth of 18.44%. The company sold 22,622 units in the month of March 2022. The Seltos remained the brand’s best-seller with 8,415 units sales. The Korean automaker has also dispatched 7,008 units of the newly launched Kia Carens last month.
The Kia Sonet and the flagship Carnival MPV recorded healthy sales, contributing 6,871 and 328 units respectively. The company has 7 per cent market share in the domestic passenger vehicle market in March. Adding to it, Kia India has also recorded its highest-ever quarterly sales. The company sold 60,602 units in last quarter, recording quarterly 9.5% Y-O-Y growth.
Kia India had dispatched 1,86,787 cars in FY21-22 despite the global supply chain disruption due to the semiconductor shortage. The brand recorded a Year-On-Year growth of 20%. The Seltos and the Sonet contributed 51% and 40% respectively to Kia India’s FY22 total domestic sales.

The newly launched Kia Carens has crossed the 50,000 bookings milestone. The vehicle has registered 12,117 unit sales in just one and half months of launch. Kia has recently registered 4 lakh domestic sales, while 1 lakh cars exported to more than 91 countries.
