Kia Carens X-Line Launched – Price Starts At Rs 18.95 Lakh

Korean automaker, Kia has introduced the new X-Line trim in its Carens line-up in the Indian market. The Kia Carens is the third model in the brand’s India line-up to come with this sportier trim. It is offered in two variants – Petrol 7DCT and Diesel 6AT – priced at Rs 18.95 lakh and Rs 19.45 lakh, respectively. The X-Line trim is only available in 6-seater configuration.

The new Kia Carens X-Line comes with exterior and interior changes including the new Xclusive Matte Graphite Exterior Colour and Two-Tone Black & Splending Sage Green interiors. It comes with the exclusive Rear Seat Entertainment (RSE) Unit for LH Rear Passengers, featuring Podcasts, Screen Mirroring, Pinkfong, and a variety of other entertainment & new apps. The RSE unit can also be controlled via remote-control app installed on the user’s phone.

In terms of exterior changes, the Carens X-Line comes with Matte Graphite finished front bumper, shark fin antenna, spoiler, rear bumper and outside door handle. The MPV gets chrome radiator grille garnish and a chrome treatment around DLO or glasshouse area. It comes with silver finished front calipers and X-Line logo is placed on the tailgate. The radiator grille, front & rear bumpers garnish, rear skid plate, roof rack, side door garnish, wheel centre cap outline and ORVMs are finished in glossy black. The new Kia Carens X-Line rides on a new dual-tone crystal cut 16-inch alloy wheels.

Inside the cabin, the new Kia Carens X-Line gets new Splendig Sage Green finish on the speaker grille and on parts of dashboard. The interior lamps, roof lining sunvisor, assist grip and trim pillar are finished in black, while the Seats, Door Armrest & Console Armrest are finished in splending sage green with orange stitching. The steering wheel is wrapped in black upholstery with orange stitching, while the interior door handle is finished in Silver.

The Carens X-Line is offered with 1.5-litre turbocharged petrol and 1.5-litre turbo diesel engine. While the former is good for 160PS and 250Nm of torque, the turbo diesel engine produces 116PS and 260Nm of torque. The turbo petrol engine is paired to a 7-speed dual-clutch transmission, while the diesel engine is coupled to a 6-speed torque convertor automatic gearbox.
