Jeep India has once again increased the prices of the Compass SUV. This is the fourth price hike for the Compass this year, 2nd rise within 2 months. In September 2022, Jeep had increased the prices of the SUV by Rs 90,000. The company has now increased the prices of 15 variants of the SUV, while the price of the 5th Anniversary Edition diesel MT variant has been reduced. Adding to it, Jeep India is likely to have discontinued the entry-level Sport 1.4L petrol MT variant from the Compass line-up.
The Jeep Compass 5th Anniversary Edition 1.4 petrol DCT variant has received a significant price hike of Rs 1.20 lakh. On the other hand, the 5th Anniversary Edition 2.0 diesel MT variant gets cheaper by Rs 40,000.
The Compass Model S (O) 1.4 petrol DCT, Model S (O) 2.0 diesel MT, and Model S (O) diesel 4×4 AT variants have received a price hike of Rs 45,000. On the other hand, the Limited (O) 1.4 petrol DCT, Limited (O) 2.0 diesel MT, Limited (O) 2.0 diesel 4×4 AT, and 5th anniversary edition 2.0 diesel 4×4 AT variants receive a price hike of Rs 40,000.
The Longitude (O) 1.4 petrol DCT, Night Eagle (O) 1.4 petrol DCT, Longitude (O) 2.0 diesel MT, and Night Eagle (O) 2.0 diesel MT variants are now expensive by Rs 25,000. Prices of the Jeep Compass Sport petrol 1.4 DCT, Sport 2.0 diesel MT and Trailhawk 2.0 diesel 4×4 MT variants have been hiked by Rs 20,000.
The Jeep Compass is available with 2 engine options – a 1.4-litre turbocharged petrol and a 2.0-litre turbocharged diesel. The petrol engine is capable of producing 161bhp and 250Nm of torque, while the turbo diesel engine is good for 171bhp of power and 350Nm of torque. A 6-speed manual gearbox is available as standard. While the petrol version gets a 7-speed DCT, the diesel version gets a 9-speed automatic as optional.
