Jeep Avenger 4×4 Compact E-SUV Unveiled – Can Achieve Up to 550Km Range

Stellantis had unveiled the Jeep Avenger EV concept earlier this year. At the time of unveiling, the company has announced the entry-level Avenger will have a 4×4 variant. The company has now finally presented the all-wheel-drive version of the electric SUV, Jeep Avenger 4×4 at the Paris Motor Show. The concept looks slightly different from the original concept. It has a roof rack and flared fenders to accommodate alloys with all-terrain tires.

Jeep hasn’t revealed the technical information about the new small SUV. The new Jeep Avenger will have an all-wheel drive system with a second electric motor placed on the rear axle. The two-wheel-drive version comes with a single motor on the front axle, with 156bhp and 260Nm of torque.

If Jeep opted for the same electric motor for the rear axle in 4×4, it is expected that the Avenger could produce around 300bhp and a torque close to 500Nm. It will use the same 54kWh battery pack as the front-wheel-drive version, which has a claimed range of 400km under WLTP cycle. Jeep claims that the electric SUV can reach up to 550km in the urban cycle.

Using 100kW charger, the battery can offer 30km range in just 3 minutes. The battery can be charged from 20% to 80% in 24 minutes. The front-wheel-drive Avenger is claimed to offer a boot space of 380-litres. The 4×4 variant will have a smaller boot space due to addition of the second motor to the rear axle.

The Jeep Avenger 4×4 Concept has two hooks, wider fenders and track, and is equipped with larger, exposed and more aggressive tires. The approach angle has been improved to 21 degrees, departure angle to 34 degrees and breakover angle to 20 degrees. It has a ground clearance of 200mm. The front end has additional protection, with thicker cladding and there are extra built-in flood lights to improve visibility when driving at night.
