New Jeep Avenger Compact SUV (Electric) Unveiled – Key Details

The new Jeep Avenger compact SUV made its global debut on the brand’s 4Xe Day. It’s the smallest Jeep SUV that will see a release in the European market in the first half of 2023. Its bookings will begin on 17th October. The model will make its public appearance at the 2022 Paris Motor Show. The auto event will be held from 17th to 23rd October at the Paris Expo Porte de Versailles.

As of now, there is no official word on its India launch. Even if India is on launch radar, the model will be placed against the cars like Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos and the upcoming Toyota Urban Cruiser Hyryder and Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara. The American SUV maker has also revealed the Jeep Recon and Jeep Wagoneer S alongside the new Avenger.

Jeep Avenger Electric SUV

Talking about the powertrains, the Jeep Avenger compact SUV will be offered with electric and hybrid powertrain options. It will come with the 95bhp, electric motors. Buyers can opt from 2 or 4 e-motor setup, depending on the variant. The four electric motors layout will deliver power around 400bhp. Jeep claims that its new compact SUV offers a range of 400kms on a single charge. It can be had with either FWD or 4WD (for the top-end all-electric variants) system.

The new Jeep compact SUV will also be available with hybrid petrol powertrain. While its official specifications are yet to be revealed, it’s likely to come with a 1.2L or a 1.5L engine with hybrid tech. The company says that the “new SUV will offer impressive ground clearance, breakover and approach angles for its segment”. The model will underpin Stellantis’ new STLA Small platform.

Painted in dual-tone Yellow and Black shade, the new Jeep Avenger compact SUV features the brand’s signature 7-slat grille, sleek LED headlamps and high mounted LED DRLs. It has thick body cladding, functional roof rails, pronounced wheel arches, alloy wheels and C-pillar mounted rear door handles enhancing its side profile. At the black, it gets a thick bumper, X-shaped LED taillamps and faux skid plate.
