There will be dual-tone Tan & Burgundy leather seats. Besides a range of new fitments, the SUV will be high on safety. The SUV’s second-generation model will offer 6 airbags, ABS (antilock braking system), rear parking sensors, speed alerts and more. As per the media reports, the new 2022 Mahindra Scorpio can achieve 5 star safety rating in crash tests. Though, the better safety quotient will make the SUV more expensive.

Major change will be made under its hood. The new Scorpio will feature the 2.0L turbo petrol and 2.2L turbo diesel motors with a 6-speed manual and a 6-speed torque convertor automatic gearbox. A 4X4 drivetrain system with drive and terrain modes will be reserved for the top trims. The automaker will also use the Thar’s platform for the new Scorpio that will make it lighter (around 100kg – 150gls) than the current generation.

More details on the new-generation Mahindra Scorpio will be revealed in coming months. The SUV is reported to debut in June, followed by its launch. For latest updates, stay tuned to IndiaCarNews.
