Honda WR-V diesel is crowned as India’s third most fuel-efficient subcompact SUV. Its diesel model sources power from a 1.5L motor delivering a top power of 100bhp and 200Nm of torque. A 5-speed manual gearbox is standard across the model lineup. There are three diesel variants priced at Rs 9.85 lakh (SV), Rs 11.05 lakh (Exclusive Edition), Rs 11.05 lakh (VX).
Hyundai Venue diesel has been packed with a 1.5L, 4-cylinder turbo motor that’s tuned for generating power worth 90bhp and 220Nm of torque. It comes with the 6-speed manual and 7-speed DCT automatic gearbox options. Its diesel manual version promises 23.7kmpl of mileage.
Ford EcoSport is the fifth most fuel-efficient subcompact SUV in the country. Its diesel model derives power from a 100bhp, 1.5L diesel unit that can be had with a 5-speed manual gearbox. The EcoSport diesel is claimed to deliver a mileage of 21.7kmpl.
