Hyundai Creta and Kia Seltos have been dominating the mid-size SUV segment in India ever since their market arrival. In February 2023, the South Korean automaker retailed 10,421 units of the Creta and 8,012 units of the Seltos, registering YoY sales growth of 8% and 22% respectively. Both SUVs are now ready to receive significant updates in coming months. While the updated Kia Seltos will go on sale in mid 2023, the Hyundai Creta facelift is reported to hit roads in early 2024. Hyundai Creta Facelift
Major changes will be made to its exterior and interior. The new 2024 Hyundai Creta will share its interior layout and features with the new-generation Verna that recently went on sale. The SUV is likely to come with a dual display screen (one for the infotainment and one for the instrumentation), new front seats with ventilation and heating function and switchable climate and infotainment controls. The updated Creta will also come with the ADAS (advanced driver assistance system) and updated BlueLink connected car tech. Kia Seltos Facelift
Similar to the updated Creta, the 2023 Kia Seltos facelift will receive the ADAS suite offering advanced safety features. The SUV will also be packed with a 360 degree camera, new switches for the HVAC controls and newly-designed dashboard. For power, there will be a new 1.5L, 4-cylinder turbo petrol engine that’s good enough for 158bhp and 260Nm. It’s the same motor that will be introduced on the new Creta model lineup.
