Hyundai Signs Hardik Pandya As Brand Ambassador For Exter

Hyundai Motor India has officially announced its association with Hardik Pandya as its brand ambassador for promoting its upcoming Exter micro SUV in India. The carmaker says that Hardik “has a persona that is enduring, dependable, resilient, charismatic, confident and smart” and its upcoming mini SUV “matches the pulse of Gen Z to engage in outdoor expeditions, travel and leisure which is epitomized by Hardik Pandya & his energetic lifestyle.”  

The South Korean auto major has confirmed that the Exter prices will be announced on 10th July 2023. It will come in 6 trims – EX, EX (O), S, S (O), SX and SX (O) Connect. Buyers will get two engine options with the mini SUV – a 1.2L petrol and a 1.2L petrol with a CNG kit.

The regular petrol version will be available with both manual and AMT gearboxes. It pushes out a peak power of 83bhp and 114Nm of torque. In CNG mode, the setup offers power worth 69bhp and 95.2Nm of torque. One must note that the AMT gearbox will be offered across all trims except the entry-level EX. Hyundai Exter has been packed with multiple segment-first features including a dashcam with the front and rear cameras and an electric sunroof with voice commands. It offers 6 airbags as standard safety feature along with the electronic stability program, three-point seat belts with reminders, hill assist control, ABS and EBD, rear parking sensors, Isofix mounts, follow me home function and, tyre pressure monitor.

With the all-new Exter, Hyundai aims to challenge the segment-leader – Tata Punch. The micro SUV will also take on cars like Maruti Suzuki Fronx and Citroen C3. Estimated to be priced from Rs 6 lakh, the Exter would be the most affordable Utility Vehicle from Hyundai in the country. Its fully-loaded top variant is likely to cost around Rs 10 lakh.
