Hyundai Alcazar 6/7-seater SUV from the South Korean carmaker is ready to hit Indian roads on 18th June 2021. Interested buyers can pre-book the vehicle by paying a token amount of Rs 25,000. According to leaked information, Hyundai’s new three-row SUV will come in 6 trims – Prestige, Prestige (O), Platinum, Platinum (O), Signature and Signature (O). The range-topping Signature variants will be retailed exclusively through Hyundai Signature Outlets. That means, it will be available at Hyundai’s big dealers who have multiple showrooms in metro cities and sell larger volume.
While the prices of the new Hyundai SUV are scheduled to be announced on coming Friday, it’s estimated to cost between Rs 13 lakh – Rs 20 lakh. If it happens, the Hyundai Alcazar will undercut both of its rivals – Tata Safari and MG Hector Plus. Prices of the Safari and Hector Plus start from Rs 13.62 lakh and Rs 14.99 lakh respectively. The Mahindra XUV700, which is due for this Diwali season, will also lock horns against the Alcazar.
The carmaker has confirmed that the new three-row Alcazar SUV will be available with 1.5L, 4-cylinder turbo diesel ad 2.0L, 4-cylinder petrol engine options. The oil burner will make 159PSwith 192Nm and is capable to do 0 to 100kmph in 9.5 seconds. The gasoline motor will deliver power worth 115PS and 250Nm of torque. A 6-speed manual gearbox will be standard across the model lineup. The Optional (O) variants will be offered with a 6-speed torque convertor automatic transmission. The Hyundai Alcazar will be high on mileage compared to its arch rivals. The Safari and Hector Plus promise fuel efficiency of 16.14kmpl and 14kmpl (petrol) – 17kmpl (diesel) respectively. The upcoming Alcazar petrol returns a mileage of 14.5kmpl with manual gearbox and 14.2kmpl with automatic transmission. The diesel model offers 20.4kmpl (MT) – 18.1kmpl (AT). It will be offered in 6 paint schemes, namely, Taiga Brown, Titan Grey, Typhoon Silver, Polar White, Starry Night and Phantom Black.
