Hyundai Alcazar 6 Seater SUV Prices To Be Announced In June 2021

Hyundai had announced to launch the much-awaited Alcazar 7-seater SUV in the end of May 2021. The SUV launch was delayed due to ongoing COVID-19 crisis. A new media report claims that the launch of the Alcazar has been delayed again. The prices of the SUV will now be released in June 2021.

While launch has been delayed by a month, Hyundai dealers have unofficially started started accepting the bookings of the 7-seater Alcazar. The 3-row SUV is based on the Creta’s platform, which has been modified to accommodate a larger wheelbase. The SUV has a wheelbase of 2,670mm, which is 150mm more than that of the Creta’s wheelbase. In fact, it offers the longest wheelbase in the category. The SUV has a segment-largest 180-litres boot space with all 3 row seats in position.

Hyundai has also made changes to the styling, as it gets more flatter body instead of rounded design of the Creta. The front gets a tweaked chrome-studded grille, new bumper, elongated body, new tailgate and wrap-around LED tail-lamps, and faux dual exhaust tips. The SUV rides on a larger 18-inch alloy wheels.

It will be offered in 6-and 7-seat layouts. The six-seater SUV will get captain seats in the second row with floor mounted centre armrest, while the 7-seater Alcazar will get bench-type seats in the second row. The second-row seats feature a one-touch tumble function to give access to the rear seats. The seats get sliding function to free up more space for the second and third row passengers. The third-row seats get a reclining function. The SUV is equipped with features like an 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, wireless phone charging, automatic AC, cruise control, electrically adjustable driver’s seat, ventilated front seats, 360 degree camera, etc.

The Hyundai Alcazar will be offered with two engine options – a 2.0L petrol and a 1.5L turbodiesel. The petrol engine produces 159PS of power and 192Nm of torque. It offers around 7PS more power than the Elantra & Tucson’s engine. The diesel engine is tuned differently to offer better power delivery. It offers 115PS of maximum power and 250Nm of torque. Transmission choices include a 6-speed manual and a 6-speed torque convertor automatic.
