In order to regain lost market share, Honda Cars India is giving huge discount on its existing product line-up. The company is also asking its prospective buyers to use its digital platform – ‘Honda From Home’ – to book and buy new product.
The BS6-compliant Honda Civic diesel has recently been launched at a starting price of Rs 20.75 lakh. The company is now giving a massive cash discount of Rs 2.5 lakh on the diesel Civic. Adding to it, the petrol Civic buyers can also avail a cash discount worth Rs 1 lakh. Honda is also giving Rs 20,000 cash discount on the WR-V and benefits worth up to 27,000 on the Amaze compact sedan.
Honda Amaze buyers can avail extended warranty (4th & 5th year) worth Rs 12,000 and exchange bonus of Rs 15,000. An additional cash discount of Rs 3,000 is also available if you don’t exchange an old car. The company has not announced any discount on new City, CR-V and the Jazz.
The BS6 Honda Civic diesel is powered by a 1.6-litre i-DTEC engine that produces 118bhp at 4,000rpm and a peak torque of 300Nm at 2,000rpm. Power is transmitted to the front wheels via a 6-speed manual gearbox. The BS6 Honda Civic diesel is claimed to return an excellent fuel economy of 23.9kmpl (ARAI certified). The petrol version gets a 1.8-litre i-VTEC engine paired to a CVT automatic gearbox. This engine is capable of producing 139bhp at 6500rpm and 174Nm at 4300rpm respectively. It is claimed to return an ARAI certified fuel economy of 16.5kmpl.
