Honda Elevate Expected Price

As far as price is concerned, the new Honda SUV might cost slightly higher than its rivals including Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos, Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara and Toyota Hyryder. We expect its entry-level variant will be priced around Rs 12 lakh and the top-end variant might cost up to Rs 19 lakh.

Honda Elevate Specifications

Specifications of the Elevate SUV are still under the wraps. Speculations suggest that it could be offered with the 1.5L naturally aspirated petrol engine, borrowed from the City sedan. The motor, with a 6-speed manual and a CVT automatic gearbox, delivers power worth 121bhp. The carmaker might also bring in the SUV with strong hybrid powertrain – 1.5L petrol Atkinson Cycle, and an eCVT gearbox. On the City hybrid, the setup delivers a maximum power of 126bhp. Both powertrains meet RDE norms and E20 compliant. While the NA petrol unit delivers a mileage of 17.8kmpl (MT) and 18.4kmpl (AT), the strong hybrid version promises 27.13kmpl.

New Honda SUV Launch

Honda Elevate Design

Honda’s new midsize SUV will share its platform with the fifth-generation City and measure around 4.2-4.3 metres in length. Cabin space is likely to be on par in the segment. The spy images reveal that the SUV will carry proper SUV-ish stance along with elements such as the signature front grille and LED headlamps with LED DRLs. It’s likely to have lots of chrome treatment at the front. The pronounced wheel arches and body cladding will enhance its side profile. The taillamp clusters could be inspired by the Indonesia-spec new-generation Honda WR-V.

Honda Elevate Interior

As of now, interior details are scanty. Though, the new Honda SUV is expected to share its interior layout and features with the City sedan. It could be packed with a 10.2-inch free-standard touchscreen infotainment system supporting wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity, a semi digital instrument cluster and Honda’s ADAS (advanced driver assistance system).

The ADAS suite will offer features such as lane keeping assist system, collision mitigation braking, adaptive cruise control, road departure mitigation system and auto high beam. The SUV might also get Honda’s Lane Watch system for blind spot detection, a 360 degree camera, ABS with EBD, electronic stability control, vehicle stability management, electronic parking brake and hill launch assist.
