Honda is gearing up to present a wide range of new electric cars for the global markets. In a bid to grab some market share, the Japanese brand has now revealed the new global Honda SUV e:concept. The new concept model previews the design direction for the future mass-production model of the Honda’s first electric vehicle for the Chinese market.
Not just Electric SUV concept, Honda has also unveiled the new CR-V PHEV (the first for Honda in China) at the 2020 Beijing International Automotive Exhibition. The new e:concept SUV will be the second all-electric vehicle from the Japanese brand, first being the Honda e.
Honda said that the SUV e:concept “indicates the direction of a future mass-production model of the Honda brand’s first EV to be introduced in China.” The company said that the mass-production EV model will offer a value based on mobility experiences that remain fresh and FUN for customers.
The new Honda Electric Vehicle model will be equipped with omnidirectional ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance System). It will be equipped with the next-generation Honda SENSING safety and driver-assistive system with improved recognition, prediction and decision-making performance, as well as the next-generation Honda CONNECT, which features an AI assistance interface, smartphone link and wireless updates made possible by advanced connectivity.
