Honda City Hybrid – 2 Variants, ADAS, Hing On Mileage

Honda Cars India is all set to unveil the City Hybrid sedan tomorrow (i.e. April 14, 2022). Prior to its official debut, details of the India-spec model have been emerged on the web. As per the leaked document, the hybrid sedan will come in two trims – V and ZX. Similar to the Thai version, the Honda City Hybrid will be offered with a 109PS electric motor and a 98PS, 1.5L petrol engine in India. It has a 0.734kWh lithium-ion battery that weighs 14.5kgs. While its official mileage figure is yet to be revealed, the sedan is reported to offer around 30kmpl.

The range-topping ZX trim will be exclusively offered with Honda’s Sensing tech that has ADAS (advanced driver assistance system) suite. It offers several active safety features such as adaptive cruise control, lane keep assist, collision mitigation braking system, road departure mitigation system and blind spot detection system. The City Hybrid will be India’s first mid-size sedan to offer ADAS autonomous system.

The overall length, width and height of the Honda City Hybrid stand at 4549mm, 1748mm and 1489mm respectively. That means, the hybrid version will be dimensionally similar to the regular model. The sedan sits on 2,600mm long wheelbase. While its entry-level V trim has a gross weight of 1636kg, the ZX Sensing e:HEV weights 1655kgs. Design and styling will be similar to the Honda City RS that sold overseas. The blacked-out grille, ORVMs and rear spoiler will make it look sportier than the regular model. Inside, the Hybrid sedan will have black theme with contrast red highlights.

Select Honda dealers have already started taking pre-bookings for the Hybrid City. Prices of the model are likely to begin from Rs 18 lakh and go up to Rs 20 lakh. Official specifications and feature details will be revealed tomorrow. Stay tuned to IndiaCarNews.
