Harley Davidson has revealed the new Nightster motorycle globally. The new motorcycle joins the brand’s new Sport range, first being the 2022 Sportster S. The new Harley Davidson Nightster is positioned as a roadster instead of a full-fledged cruiser like Sportster S.
The new Harley Davidson Nightster roadster is launched in US at a starting price of USD 13,499 (approx Rs 10.29 lakh). The motorcycle will also go on sale in India, as it has been listed on the Harley India website.
Harley Davidson Nightster Specifications
Powering the new roadster motorcycle is a 975cc, liquid-cooled, V-Twin engine that produces 90bhp of power at 7,500rpm and a peak torque of 95Nm at 5,000rpm. This engine is paired to a 6-speed gearbox via an assist and slip mechanical wet clutch. The powertrain is basically the downsized version of the 1252cc powering Sportster S.
The motorcycle is based on a lightweight chassis, which is paired to a powerful engine tuned for strong mid-range performance. The bike has mid foot controls and a low-rise handlebar for a comfortable posture. The motorcycle has a low seat height of 706mm.
For suspension mechanism, the new Nightster gets 41mm Showa dual bending valve front forks and dual outboard emulsion-technology shock absorbers with coil springs and a threaded collar for pre-load adjustment. The new Harley Davidson Nightster motorcycle gets ABS, traction control system and drag-torque slip control system.
The new Harley Davidson Nightster comes with selectable ride modes that electronically control the performance characteristics of the motorcycle. The motorcycle offers 3 riding modes – Road Mode, Sport Mode and Rain Mode. The roadster rides on 19-inch front wheel and 16-inch rear wheel. For braking, it gets a 320mm disc in front with an axially mounted 4-piston calliper and a 260mm disc at rear with a floating single-piston calliper.
Styling & features
The motorcycle comes with a round 4.0inch analog speedometer with an inset multi-function LCD display mounted on the handlebar riser. It gets an all LED lighting system. The motorcycle features a traditional sportster design with chopped front and rear fenders, a round headlamp, a single bobber’s seat, a peanut-shaped fuel tank and a round air intake cover. The motorcycle gets a beefier single-sided exhaust canister.
The motorcycle is offered in 3 colour options – Vivid Black, Gunship Grey and Redline Red. Gunship Grey and Redline Red color options will be applied only to the airbox cover. The front and rear fenders and speed screen are finished in Vivid Black.
