Honda has recently introduced the updated range of Activa 6G scooter in the country. With new updates, the Japanese two-wheeler brand introduced a new top-end Activa 6G H-Smart variant with an electronic key fob. Now, the company is ready to introduce the updated Activa 125 H-Smart in the country.
Similar to the Activa 6G, the H-Smart variant of the Honda Activa 125 is likely to come with an electronic key fob. This electronic key fob will come with a host of electronic features. It has a SmartFind feature, which allows user to locate vehicle by flashing all four indicators at the press of a button.
The scooter will come with Smart Start feature, which helps in starting the scooter by just rotating the knob on the Lock Mod to ignition position and push the start button without even taking out the key. However, the smark key should be within the range of 2 meters of the vehicle. There is a Smart Unlock feature that allows the rider to lock and unlock the vehicle without using a physical key. In case the system detects no activity for 20 seconds after activation, the scooter automatically gets deactivated.
The there’s a Smart Safe feature, which has a Mapped Smart ECU. ECU acts as a security device by electronically matching (ID) between the ECU and SMART Key, therefore preventing vehicle theft. The smart key has an immobilizer system which prevents a non-registered key from starting the engine.
The new Honda Activa 125 H-Smart will also receive an updated instrument console, which will display relevant fuel efficiency info such as real-time mileage, average mileage and distance to empty. It is powered by a 124cc, single-cylinder engine that produces 8.1bhp at 6,500rpm and a peak torque of 10.3Nm at 5,000rpm.
The outgoing model is available in 3 variants – Drum, Drum Alloy and Disc – priced at Rs 77,743, Rs 81,411 and Rs 84,916 respectively. It is expected that the new H-Smart feature could be offered with the top-spec Disc variant. The new model is likely to receive a marginal price hike for the regular variants.
