Hero MotoCorp has finally entered the electric vehicle segment with its all-new Vida V1 electric scooter. This e-scooter is offered in 2 variants – V1 Plus and V1 Pro – and both comes with different specifications and price tags. However, it is relatively expensive when compared to some of the other scooters on sale in our market.

The new Hero Vida V1 e-scooter will take on multiple electric scooters including the Ola S1, Ather 450X, TVS iQube and the Bajaj Chetak. In this article, we bring you specifications-based comparison between the new Hero Vida V1, Ola S1, Ather 450X, Bajaj Chetak and the TVS iQube.

– The Vida V1 is offered in two variants – V1 Plus and V1 Pro – priced at Rs 1.45 lakh and Rs 1.59 lakh respectively.

– The Ola S1 is also available in two variants – S1 Pro and S1. The S1 Pro is priced at Rs 1.30 lakh, while the base S1 variant costs Rs 1 lakh.

– The Ather 450X is one of the most reliable electric scooter on sale in our market. It is priced at Rs 1.39 lakh in Delhi. The company is also offering the 450 Plus variant, which costs Rs 1.17 lakh.

– The TVS iQube is offered in two variants – iQube and iQube S – priced at Rs 1.67 lakh and Rs 1.72 lakh respectively.

– The Chetak electric scooter is available at a price tag of Rs 1.51 lakh, which makes it a direct rival to the Vida V1 Pro.

– The V1 Plus comes with a 3.44kWh battery pack, while the V1 Pro makes use of a larger 3.94kWh unit. The former is claimed to offer a certified range of 143km, while the V1 Pro can run up to 165km on a single charge. The V1 Pro and the V1 Plus are claimed to achieve 0 to 40kmph speed in just 3.2 seconds and 3.4 seconds respectively.

– The TVS iQube is equipped with 3 lithium-ion battery pack delivering power to a hub-mounted motor. The company claims that the iQube can achieve 0 to 40kmph acceleration in 4.2 seconds before hitting a top speed of 78kms. On power mode, the ST variant can achieve a maximum speed of 82kmph. While the new 2022 TVS iQube and iQube S are claimed to deliver a range of 100km in real world condition, the top-spec iQube ST variant offers 140km.

– The Bajaj Chetak comes with a 3kWh battery pack that offers a range of 95km in Eco mode and 85km in Sport mode. The Chetak’s battery can be fully charged from 0% in 4 hours with a regular 5A plug.

– The new-gen Ather 450X and 450 Plus comes equipped with a 3.7kWh battery pack that’s claimed to deliver a range of up to 146km and 108km respectively. While the 450X offers a maximum output of 6.2kW (8.7bhp) in Wrap mode, the 450 Plus returns the same 5.4kW. The continuous and torque output of both variants remain unchanged – i.e. 3.3kW and 26Nm (450X) and 22Nm (450 Plus).

Bajaj Chetak Premium

– The Ola S1 and S1 Pro comes with 3kWh and 3.97kWh battery pack respectively. While the former is claimed to offer a range of 121km, the S1 Pro offers a certified range of 181km on a single charge. While the Ola S1 delivers a top speed of 90kmph, the Ola S1 Pro offers a top speed of 115kmph. The S1 comes with two riding modes – Normal and Sports, and the S1 Pro gets an additional Hyper mode. The battery pack of the S1 and S1 Pro electric scooters can be charged fully via a portable home charger in 4.48 hours and 6.30 hours respectively.
