Hero MotoCorp has launched the new 2020 Hero Maestro Edge 110 BS6 in the country. The new scooter is available in two variants – Drum Brake Alloy Wheel Fi-VX and Alloy Wheel FI – priced at Rs 60,950 and Rs 62,450 (ex-showroom, Delhi) respectively.
Its direct rival – Honda Activa 6G is priced at Rs 65,419 for standard variant and Rs 66,919 for DLX variant. The TVS Jupiter BS6 is available at a starting price of Rs 63,102. The Hero Maestro Edge 110 BS6 is available in 6 colour options – Midnight Blue, Candy Blazing Red, Seal Silver, Panther Black, Pearl Fadeless White, and Techno Blue.
Powering the 2020 Hero Maestro Edge 110 is a BS6-compliant 110.9cc, single-cylinder engine with fuel-injection system. This engine churns out a maximum power output of 8bhp at 7,500rpm and a peak torque of 8.75Nm at 5,500rpm. Hero MotoCorp claims that the new Maestro Edge 110 comes fitted with Smart Sensor technology, which automatically adjusts vehicle performance depending on riding conditions.
The scooter looks similar to the BS4 model; however, it comes with new and bolder graphics on the front apron and the body panels. Talking about features, the 2020 Hero Maestro Edge 110 BS6 gets LED tail-lights, diamond cut alloy wheels, side stand indicator, integrated braking system, semi-digital instrument console, mobile charging port and boot light, etc.
Suspension system comprises of telescopic forks at the front and swing-type with spring-loaded hydraulic damper at the back. It rides on 12-inch front wheel and 10-inch rear wheel wrapped in 90/90-12 54J and 90/100-10 53J section tyres respectively. The scooter has a kerb weight of 112kg. The scooter rides on 1,261mm of wheelbase and has a seat height of 775mm.
