World’s largest two-wheeler manufacturer, Hero MotoCorp has launched the new Glamour Xtec motorcycle in the Indian market. The 125cc Hero Glamour Xtec is offered in two variants – Drum and Disc – priced at Rs 78,900 and Rs 83,500 respectively.
The new Hero Glamour Xtec comes equipped with segment-first Bluetooth connectivity, turn-by-turn navigation, integrated USB charger along with side-stand engine cut off, bank angle sensor and LED headlamp.The Hero Glamour offers Bluetooth connectivity with call and SMS alerts, and turn-by-turn navigation along with map connectivity. The instrument console features a Gear Position Indicator, Eco Mode, Techometer, and Real Time Mileage Indicator (RTMi). The console also shows side-stand indication.
The Bank angle sensor cuts off the engine during a fall. The motorcycle has 5-step adjustable hydraulic shock absorber at the rear, 240mm front disc brake, wider rear tyre and 180mm ground clearance, which improves the overall riding comfort. The Hero Glamour Xtec features 3D branding, rim tapes and Blue accents for new matte colour. For suspension duties, the bike gets telescopic front forks and a preload-adjustable rear monoshock. The base variant gets drum brakes for both wheels. The company claims that the H-signature position lamp and LED headlamp offers segment best brightness (34% the more headlight intensity).
The new Glamour Xtec is powered by a 125cc BSVI engine with XSens Programmed Fuel Injection and is 7% more fuel efficient. This engine is capable of producing 10.7bhp of power at 7,500rpm and a peak torque of 10.6Nm at 6,000rpm. The motorcycle features i3S (idle start-stop system) along with Auto Sail Technology.
