Ford has launched the CNG variants of its popular sub-4 meter sedan – Aspire in India. The Ford Aspire CNG is available in 2 variants – Ambiente and Trend Plus – priced at Rs 6.27 lakh and Rs 7.12 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi) respectively. The CNG kit will be added at the company’s dealership across India.
The Ford Aspire CNG-kitted model is powered by a 1.2-litre petrol engine that produces 96bhp of power and 120Nm of torque. The company said that the Aspire CNG features the latest sequential technology for the integration of the CNG kit. It has also gets a factory programmed speed governor that restricts speed to 80kmph. The CNG kit is also benefitted with the Engine Control Unit (ECU), which aid to smoother operation and optimised gas flow in each cylinder. It also has front stabilizer bar that has been added to compensate the extra weight of the CNG cylinder and provides good handling and comfortable drive. Read – Ford Kuga 7-seater SUV in the works
The Ford Aspire CNG variant is equipped with dual front airbags, rear parking sensors, remote central locking, climate control system, power windows and adjustable headrests. It is also fitted with a 7.0-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Bluetooth connectivity, satellite navigation and rear view camera. Ford is also offering 1 lakh kilometers/ 2-years warranty package with the CNG kit. The company claims that the new Ford Aspire CNG’s maintenance cost is only 46 paise/km, up to 1 lakh km.
