Detel, the world’s most economical electric 2-wheeler brand, has announced its plans to open a network of 150 sales partners for Detel electric vehicles by the end of this year. The company aims to strengthen its presence in the Norther region of India with its newly launched electric two wheelers.
Detel claims that it has already established its presence in States like Haryana, Delhi, Rajasthan, Karnataka and Tamil Nadu with its Detel Easy Scooter. The company aims to improve its network and wants to reach every city of India. Detel Electric Vehicles has recently launched a new range of electric scooters – Detel Easy Plus and Detel Easy Loader for B2C & B2B segments.The company also plans to target sub-dealers apart from the primary dealers while expanding its footprints.
With an objective to manufacture 100% localised electric scooters components, Detel will soon open its assembly unit in Gurugram with an aim to produce 1,00,000 low speed e-vehicles per year.
Commenting on the same, Dr. Yogesh Bhatia, Founder, Detel said, “We are working furiously on our plans to open new dealership networks pan India. Our acquired dealerships will reinforce Detel’s mission to reach out to millions at the bottom of the pyramid with smart sustainable and affordable products. The objective of this exercise is to rapidly cover the key markets and to increase the sales and market share in the low speed EV segment.”
The company will soon introduce the Detel Easy Plus in 4 colour variants – Yellow, Red, Teal Blue and Royal Blue. The Detel Easy EV is powered by a 250W electric motor and a 48V 12AH LiFeP04 (lithium iron phosphate) battery. The battery can be fully charged in 7 to 8 hours. It is claimed to offer a range of 60km and a top speed of 25kmph.
