Detel has unveiled the world’s most economical electric two-wheeler “Detel Easy Plus” at India Auto Show in Mumbai. The new electric vehicle is scheduled to be launched by April 2021.
Detel had introduced the most affordable electric two wheeler – Detel Easy last year at an impressive price tag of Rs 20,000. The new Detel Easy Plus will be offered in 4 colour variants – Yellow, Red, Teal Blue and Royal Blue. The company aims to produce and sell electric vehicles at affordable price range. Also, the brand is aiming to export EVs in the coming years. Besides Easy Plus, Detel is also planning to introduce a commercial e-vehicle – Detel Easy Loader by the end of 2021.
The Detel Easy EV is powered by a 250W electric motor and a 48V 12AH LiFeP04 (lithium iron phosphate) battery. The battery can be fully charged in 7 to 8 hours. It is claimed to offer a range of 60km and a top speed of 25kmph.
Thanks to the Government efforts in promoting EVs, several Indian companies have accelerated with the government’s Atma Nirbhar Bharat campaign. To propel the government’s initiative, Detel has expanded its EV portfolio to further propagate the EV market in India.
