Citroen eC3 Launch In Feb; Range More Than Tata Tiago EV

Citroen eC3, the upcoming entry-level electric hatchback from the French automaker, has finally made its India debut. The carmaker has confirmed that the model will go on sale in February 2023. Its bookings will be commenced on coming 22nd January. The eC3 is essentially the electric iteration of the C3 with a few EV-specific cosmetic updates inside and out. The EV model lineup will be made available in two variants – Live and Feel – packed with a 29.2kWh battery pack and a 56bhp, electric motor. It’s claimed to offer a range of 320km on a single charge.

The carmaker will provide a 3.3kW onboard AC charger with the new electric Citroen C3. It’s said to accelerate from 0 to 60kmph in 6.8 seconds and offer a maximum speed of 107kmph. The vehicle’s battery pack can be charged in 10.5 hours by using a standard home charger and in 57 minutes from 10 to 80 percent via a DC fast charger. There will be two drive modes – Standard and Eco.

The Citroen eC3 will be offered with a warranty of 3 year/1,25,000km along with the battery pack warranty of 7 years/1,40,000km and an electric motor warranty of 5 years/1,00,000km. Dimensionally, the new Citroen electric car measures 3,981mm in length, 1,733 mm in width, and 1,604mm in height. Its wheelbase stands at 2,540mm.

In terms of features, the electric Citroen C3 offers connected car tech with MyCitroen Connect app with 35 features. It provides information such as the vehicle’s charging status and help locating and navigate to the nearest charging station. Similar to its ICE counterpart, the Citroen e-C3 offers features such as a 10.2-inch touchscreen infotainment system with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay connectivity, height adjustable driver’s seat, four-speaker audio system, dual airbags, anti-lock braking system (ABS) with electronic brakeforce distribution (EBD).
