Auto manufacturers have released the sales data for the month of June 2023. Most of the automakers have posted positive year-on-year sales growth. In this article, we talk about the sales data of Maruti Suzuki, Tata Motors, Hyundai and Toyota for the month of June 2023.
Maruti Suzuki Sales
Maruti Suzuki has reported a total sales including domestic & exports of 1,59,418 units in June 2023 as against 1,55,857 units in the the same month last year. The company has witnessed a 2 percent year-on-year sales growth. In the domestic market, MSIL has reported a 8.43 percent YoY sales growth with 1,33,027 units sold last month as compared to 1,22,685 units in June 2022. However, it reported a 7.43% month-on-month sales decline.
MSIL sold 78,525 units in the mini & compact segment in June 2023 as against 92,188 units in the same month last year. However, the brand’s UV sales have been increased significantly with 43,404 units sold in June 2023 as against 18,860 units in the same month last year. MSIL sold 9,354 units of the Eeco Van last month.
Hyundai Sales
Hyundai sold 50,001 vehicles in the month of June 2022 as against 49,001 units in the same month last year. The company has reported a 2.04% YoY sales growth and 2.88% MoM sales growth. The company has also exported 15,600 units last month as compared to 13,350 units in June 2022, reporting a YoY sales growth of 16.85 per cent. The brand’s total sales (Domestic + Export) stands at 65,601, which is a Year-On-Year increase of 5.21 per cent.
Tata Motors Sales
Tata Motors continuously impresses with its sales growth, as it recorded a YoY growth of 5 per cent. The company sold 47,235 units in June 2023 as against 45,197 units in the same month last year. The company has sold 7,025 units of the electric vehicles last month as against 3,608 units in June 2022. Tata Motors electric vehicle year-on-year sales significantly increased by 95 per cent. In the first quarter of FY24, Tata Motors sold 1,40,120 vehicles as against 1,30,125 units in the Q1 FY23, reporting a growth of 8 per cent.
Toyota Sales
Toyota Kirloskar Motor has reported an impressive performance with the sales of 19,608 units in the month of June 2023, an increase of 19% over the same period last year, where the company sold 16,512 units. While the domestic sales stood at 18,237 units, exports accounted for 1,371 units in the month of June 2023.
In the period of January to June 2023, Toyota sold 1,02,371 units as compared to 75,017 units in the same period last year thus resulting in a growth of 36%. In the first quarter of FY24, TKM has reported a 33% increase in sales. The company sold 55,528 units in the period of April-June 2023 as compared to 41,813 units in the corresponding period of the previous year.
