BYD Atto 3, the second electric offering from the Chinese automaker, is all set to hit Indian roads on 11th October 2022. Ahead of its official arrival, specifications and features of the electric UV have emerged on the web. As per the leaked brochure scan, the Atto 3 features a permanent magnet synchronous motor and a 49.92kWh BYD Blade Battery promising a range of 345km (WLTP cycle) on a single charge. The electric motor makes a top power of 201bhp and 310Nm of torque. It can do 0 to 100kmph in 7.3 seconds. The new BYD electric SUV will be available with three charging options – the standard 3-pin plug AC charger, AC charging (Type 2), and DC fast charging (Standard – 70kW, Extended – 80kW). The e-SUV has been boosted with the regenerative braking system. The overall length, width and height of the BYD Atto 3 stand at 4455mm, 1875mm and 1615mm respectively. The electric SUV sits on a wheelbase of 2720mm and offers a cargo space of 440-litres (extended – 1340-litres). It carries a kerb weight of 1750kg and gross vehicle mass of 2160kg.
On the safety front, the Atto 3 offers a range of advanced fitments including multiple airbags, front and rear seat belt reminder, tyre pressure monitoring system, Isofix child mount seats, anti-lock braking system, electric parking brake system, electronic stability program, traction control system, electronic brake force distribution, hill descent control, a 360 degree camera, front (2) and rear (4) radars, front and rear collision warning, blind sport monitoring, door open warning, lane departure warning, lane keeping assist, rear cross traffic alert and rear cross traffic brake.
Besides these features, the BYD Atto 3 comes equipped with a 12.8-inch rotating touchscreen infotainment system with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, a 5-inch digital instrument cluster, automatic climate control, electrically adjustable front seats, PM2.5 air filter, wireless phone charging, synthetic leather seats, 6-way power adjustable driver seat, 4-way power adjustable front passenger seat, driver and front passenger heated seats, all LED lighting system and more.
