BSA Gold Star 650 Specifications Revealed – 45bhp, 652cc Engine

Classic Legends has officially revived the iconic BSA Motorcycle brand for the European markets. The company has revealed its first motorcycle, called the BSA Gold Star 650, that debuted at an exclusive event in Birmingham UK. This time, BSA Motorcycles has revealed the engine specifications of the Gold Star 650.

The new Gold Star 650 is powered by a 652cc, single-cylinder engine that churns out 45bhp of maximum power at 6000rpm and 55Nm of torque at 4000rpm. It is paired to a 5-speed gearbox. This 650cc single-cylinder DOHC comes with cooling fins and a large radiator. A fuel injector cover is also added that gives it an old-school appeal.

The motorcycle features a single 320mm Brembo twin-piston floating calliper at front, and single 225mm Brembo single-piston floating calliper at the rear. It also gets dual-channel ABS (Anti-Lock Braking System) as standard. The motorcycle features 41mm telescopic front forks and twin shock absorbers with 5-step adjustable preload.

The BSA Gold Star 650 has a kerb weight of 213kg. It has a fuel tank of 12-litres of capacity. The motorcycle rides on 18-inch front wheel wrapped with 18/90 section Pirelli Phantom tyre and 17-inch rear wheel shod with 150/70 Pirelli Phantom Sportscomp tyre. The motorcycle has a wheelbase of 1,425mm and has a seat height of 780mm.

The Gold Star 650 design highlights include a traditional rounded headlamp with integrated LED DRLs, LED tail-lights, wide set handlebars and tear drop shaped fuel tank. It has broad fenders, and new spoked wheels. Chrome treatment can be seen all around the body, on headlamp, fuel tank, engine casing and on the exhaust pipe. It gets a large single-piece seat with an upright riding position.
