The Austria-based bikemaker has rolled out the BS6 KTM 250 Duke in India at Rs 2.09 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). This makes it around Rs 3,968 more expensive than its previous model. Interested buyers can book the bike’s updated model by paying a nominal amount. The BS6 KTM Duke 250 receives full LED headlamp with DRLs (daytime running lights), dual-channel ABS with Supermoto mode and two new colours – Silver Metallic and Dark Galvano.
The addition of the LED headlamp makes the KTM Duke 250 a little more tempting deal. The unit seems to be borrowed from the 390 Duke. Just so you know, its arch rivals – Bajaj Dominar 250 and Husqvarna 250 twins – offer LED headlamp as standard feature. No other significant changes have been made to the new 250 Duke. The bike sources its power from a 248.8cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine making power worth 30PS and 24Nm.
As mentioned above, the BS6 KTM Duke 250 comes with a Supermoto mode along with a 43mm WP upside-sown open cartridge fork. The company says that with the advanced “Supermoto mode” which can be activated at the push of a button, thrill-seeking riders will love the added fun factor and extra racetrack control. When engaged, the Supermoto system only controls ABS on the front brake. Rear brake pressure is entirely up to the rider’s right foot, allowing you to push your riding skills to the absolute limit.
Based on the steel trellis frame, the bike comes fitted with 110mm front and 150mm rear tyres. Its braking system consists of a 300mm front and 230mm rear disc brake by ByBre, which are controlled by Bosch dual-channel ABS.
