Bounce, the Bengaluru-based ride-sharing startup, has introduced its first electric scooter in the country. Called the Bounce Infinity E1, the electric scooter can be had with either the battery pack or without it. The model with the standard lithium-ion swappable battery pack costs Rs 68,999 and without the battery it’s priced at Rs 45,099. One must note that both prices are ex-showroom, Delhi. The Infinity E1 is eligible to FAME II subsidies from state governments.
The without battery model is available with a ‘battery-as-a-service’ monthly subscription scheme that costs an additional Rs 850 – Rs 1,250, depending on the plan. The company says that the offer will lower its cost of ownership by around 40 percent compared to the conventional scooters. Deliveries of the Bounce electric scooter will begin in March 2022. It can be purchased online or via the company’s dealership network. Interested buyers can pre-book the vehicle by paying a sum of Rs 499, which is refundable.
If you have the without battery pack model, you can swap or replace the battery at the company’s upcoming battery-swapping network around at Rs 35 per swap. The company aims to establish multiple battery swapping stations over the next 2 years. The Bounce Infinity E1 electric scooter’s battery pack can be charged via the regular power socket.
The Bounce Infinity E1 electric scooter has been made available in 5 colour schemes, namely, Pearl White, Sporty Red, Comed Grey, Sparkle Black and Desat Silver. The company is offering a standard warranty of 3 years, up to 50,000kms.
