German automaker, BMW has launched the new BMW X1 20i Tech Edition in the Indian market. Priced at Rs 43 lakh, the new X1 20i Tech Edition can be booked at shop.bmw.in. It is available in two colour options – Alpine White and Phytonic Blue (Metallic) with Sesatec Oyster Black upholstery.
The BMW X1 20i Tech Edition is powered by a 2.0-litre 4-cylinder turbocharged petrol engine that is capable of producing 192bhp of power and 280Nm of torque between 1,350-4,600rpm. It is paired to a 7-speed Steptronic Sport automatic gearbox. For greater driving experience, the new X1 20i is available with steering wheel paddle shifters and cruise control with braking function as standard.
Using Launch Control, drivers can achieve maximum acceleration with optimized traction from a standstill. Using the Driving Experience Control switch, driver can change the driving character of the vehicle by choosing between different driving modes – ECO PRO, Comfort, Sport.
The new BMW X1 20i Tech Edition comes with a sharp and mascular design, as it features prominent character lines and contoured surfaces. The front has a large BMW grille and air intakes as well as LED headlamps with LED fog-lamps. The side profile has wedged-shaped roofline and 18-inch alloy wheels. At the back, the SUV gets wrap-around LED lights and bigger twin exhaust tailpipes.
The new BMW X1 20i Tech Edition gets a large panorama glass roof, ambient lighting with six colours, electric adjustable seats with memory function for front occupants, reclined rear seats with centre armrest, etc. It has a boot space of 500-litres, which can be extended to 1,550-litres by folding down the rear seat.
It comes with a host of BMW ConnectedDrive technologies. The BMW X1 has a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system with iDrive controller and navigation. It supports wireless Apple CarPlay. It also gets wireless smartphone charging system, park distance control, rear-view camera, BMW Head-Up Display and a new 205W HiFi loudspeaker system.
For safety and security, the BMW X1 has six airbags, Attentiveness Assistance Dynamic Stability Control (DSC) including Dynamic Traction Control (DTC), Cornering Brake Control (CBC), electric parking brake with auto hold, side-impact protection, electronic vehicle immobilizer and crash sensor, ISOFIX child seat mounting and integrated emergency spare wheel under the load floor.
