Mahindra Scorpio
The Scorpio is one of the top-selling SUVs on sale in India. This SUV has a huge fan following in semi-urban and rural India. In fact, the Scorpio is used in most of the action movies in India. This SUV is available diesel manual version only, and is priced between Rs 12.66 lakh and Rs 17.47 lakh. It is powered by a 2.2-litre mHawk diesel engine that produces 137bhp of power and 319Nm of torque. Power is transmitted to the rear wheels via a 6-speed manaul gearbox.
Mahindra XUV500
Despite rising competition, the Mahindra XUV500 still holds a significant market share. The company will be bringing the XUV500 replacement, which will be called the Mahindra XUV700. The XUV500 is available in manual and automatic versions, and is priced between Rs 14.27 lakh and Rs 20.11 lakh. The SUV is powered by a 2.2-litre mHawk diesel engine producing 153bhp and 360Nm of torque. Transmission options include a 6-speed manual and a 6-speed torque convertor automatic.
Hyundai Alcazar
Hyundai has recently launched the Alcazar 7-seater SUV, which is based on the modified Creta platform. The SUV has received positive response from buyers, as it recorded over 3,000 sales in less than 1 month. The SUV is available in two engine options – a 159PS, 2.0-litre petrol and a 115PS, 1.5-litre diesel. Transmission choices include a 6-speed manual and a 6-speed torque convertor automatic. The petrol version of the SUV is priced between Rs 16.30 lakh and Rs 19.84 lakh, while the diesel version costs from Rs 16.53 lakh to Rs 20 lakh.
Tata Safari
The 7-seater version of the Harrier has been called the Tata Safari. Unlike previous generation model, the new Safari is a front-wheel-drive SUV with more modern design and feature-loaded cabin. It misses out on AWD system; however, Tata could launch the AWD version in near future. It comes with a 2.0L turbocharged diesel engine that’s good for 170bhp and 350Nm of torque. For transmission duties, the vehicle gets a 6-speed manual and a 6-speed torque convertor automatic gearbox. The SUV is priced between Rs 14.99 lakh and Rs 21.83 lakh.
MG Hector Plus
It is basically the 3-row version of the Hector SUV, and is offered in 6-and 7-seat layout. The SUV is priced between Rs 13.63 lakh and Rs 19.81 lakh. The new MG Hector Plus comes with multiple engine-gearbox options including 170hp, 2.0-litre diesel motor with a 6-speed manual gearbox; a 143hp, 1.5-litre turbo-petrol unit a 6-speed manual and a 6-speed DCT automatic; and a 1.5-litre turbo-petrol paired to a 48V mild-hybrid system with a 6-speed manual gearbox.
Mahindra Marazzo
Mahindra’s only 7-seater MPV, the Marazzo will soon receive a diesel AMT version. The MPV is currently available in diesel version only. The SUV is offered in 7-and 8-seat options. It is priced between Rs 12.30 lakh and Rs 14.30 lakh. The Marazzo is powered by a 1.5-litre turbocharged diesel engine producing 121bhp of power and 300Nm of torque. A six-speed manual gearbox driving the power to the front wheels come as standard.
Maruti Suzuki XL6
Maruti Suzuki is selling a crossover-MPV, called the Suzuki XL6 through NEXA premium dealership. It is basically the sportier 6-seater version of the Ertiga MPV. The Suzuki XL6 is available in the price bracket of Rs 9.92 lakh to Rs 11.70 lakh. It is powered by a 1.5-litre 4-cylinder NA petrol engine producing 104bhp and 138Nm of torque. Transmission options include a 5-speed manual and a 4-speed torque convertor automatic.
Toyota Innova Crysta
It is the best-selling MPV of India. The new Innova Crysta is available in 7 and 8-seater versions. It is priced between Rs 16.53 lakh and Rs 24.60 lakh. The MPV is powered by a 2.4-litre turbo-diesel engine that produces 148bhp and 343Nm of torque. Gearbox options include a 5-speed manual and a 6-speed torque convertor automatic.
